What class do I need?
Anyone is permitted to take any AHA class they so choose. This section serves only as a general guideline, but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us and we can help you find the right class for your personal or business needs. Group rates are available at your site or ours at no extra cost.
Non-Medical Professionals
Most people need a standard CPR certification, often called “CPR for the Layperson”. Professions that usually fall into this category might be:
- Teacher/Teacher's Aide
- Coach/Fitness Trainer
- Camp Counselor
- School/Public Bus Driver/Tour Guide
- Daycare Provider
- Babysitter/Nanny
- Nursing Home Employee
- Construction/Factory Worker/Electrician
- Hotel/Restaurant Staff
You will probably want to select one of the HEARTSAVER classes, but you can certainly take a BLS class if you so desire.
Medical Professionals
Healthcare providers are required to take more advanced CPR classes. Professions that usually need a Healthcare Provider CPR certification might be:
- Nurse/Physician Assistant
- Students (Healthcare)
- X-Ray/Lab Technician
- Respiratory Therapist
- Physical/Occupational Therapist
- Dentist/Dental Assistant
- Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT
- Pharmacy/Pharmacy Technician
- Registered/Certified Medical Assistant
You will want to select one of the BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) classes.
About Us
Our instructors are certified American Heart Association Instructors, but more importantly are also licensed AEMTs and Paramedics and are able to interject their own real life experiences with CPR and First Aid into the classes.
A+ CPR was started due to our passion to equip people with the skills they will need to save lives.
Too many people do nothing when someone is experiencing Sudden Cardiac Arrest or facing a life-threatening emergency because they lack confidence in being helpful in the situation.
We strive to share with you the knowledge and the skills you will be able to call upon in the future so you WILL be the person that did something and saved a life!
